Rice Syrup Solids

Rice Syrup Solids are derived by applying an enzymatic process to rice starch, resulting in a pale colored powder that has properties similar to maltodextrins. They are defined by the FDA as dried glucose syrup in which the reducing sugar content is 20 DE or higher.

These products are produced by an agglomeration process that increases particle size and lowers bulk density compared to standard products. They are easily dispersed into water for ease of use in quick dissolving beverage mixes. The low density is ideal to provide bulk in high intensity sweetener blends. They can also carry limited quantities of oil without losing their physical form or flow properties.

Our Rice Syrup Solids have a premium quality Organic or Conventional rice base, depending on a consumer’s requirements. The Rice Syrup Solids produced by SGC are Halal and Kosher certified and comply with international quality standards.

Application:

Rice Syrup Solids in Frozen Products:

Rice Syrup Solids have properties similar to gum stabilizers, enabling it to completely or partially replace its use in frozen desserts and ice cream. Rice Syrup Solids provide optimum sweetness, a stable freezing point, and inhibits ice crystals

Rice Syrup Solids in Baking and Confectionary:

Rice Syrup Solids remain popular in the baking and confections industry owing to its ability to stabilize moisture and improve texture. In cases where a product has to be frozen for storage or thawed before consumption, Rice Syrup Solids can provide excellent stability. Moreover, it can also serve as a replacement for egg whites in certain cases.

Rice Syrup Solids in Meat and Seafood:

Rice Syrup Solids improve moisture binding capabilities in meat and seafood. This contributes towards a stable texture, retained moisture and seasoning carrier. Rice Syrup Solids also prevent the formation of ice crystals, making the thawing process easier.
