We recently participated in major international food trade shows, including BIOFACH 2026 in Germany and Natural Products Expo West 2026 in United States. We are now preparing to participate in the upcoming IFT FIRST Annual Event 2026 in United States. CSR Goals and Major Initiatives
Shafi Gluco Chem, along with its group of companies, is actively engaged in corporate social responsibility through initiatives focused on education, health, community welfare, and sustainability. Through the Muhammad Shafi Trust, established in 1991, the group supports education by developing institutions and providing scholarships and financial assistance, including the Muhammad Shafi Educational Complex in Karachi. The group also promotes vocational training programs, particularly for women. It has collaborated with the Hunar Foundation to open an institute in Korangi Karachi specializing in vocational training for women. In collaboration with partners, it has improved access to clean water in Tharparkar by installing wells for underserved communities, while its partnership with LRBT led to the establishment of a free eye hospital in Chiniot, providing quality care to patients from surrounding regions. The company also prioritizes employee welfare through medical support, maternity benefits, and financial assistance, reflecting a strong commitment to community development and social responsibility.
Shafi Group, through the Muhammad Shafi Trust, has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Green Crescent Trust (GCT), reinforcing its commitment to supporting education in Pakistan. GCT is a well-established non-profit organization dedicated to improving lives through quality education and many other projects. It operates a network of more than 175 schools, providing learning opportunities to thousands of underprivileged children across Sindh, along with broader community development initiatives. As a part of this collaboration, Muhammad Shafi Educational Complex was formally handed over to GCT in April 2026. The institution will continue to be backed by Shafi Group, ensuring strong support while benefiting from Green Crescent Trust’s expertise in educational management. This partnership aims to enhance the quality of education and ensure sustainable, long-term development for the students and the community it serves.
Shafi Green Energy Initiatives
Shafi group of companies, is making significant progress toward a more sustainable future through its strong focus on green energy initiatives. The group has installed thousands of solar panels across all its companies and moving toward full reliance on renewable solar energy. In addition, Shafi Gluco Chem utilizes biomass fuel technology, converting rice husk into renewable energy to reduce waste and eliminate reliance on natural gas. The company has also implemented High Efficiency evaporator system that is replacing traditional steam methods and reducing energy consumption by up to 70% while maintaining precision and product quality.
